Sharen-Lee McLachlan wins again!
Sharen-Lee McLachlan of 2 Sisters - the Gold Coast Airbrushing Art Studio - has just won First Place in the Contemporary Art Gallery Online (CAGO) All Abstraction art competition. Sharen-Lee entered her piece "Fall" which is an acrylic painting on canvas (pictured above) which is her rendition of autumn leaves fallen.
Sharen-Lee said, the winning gold coast artist "I love the colours of Autumn and I wanted to challenge myself not only with a different genre, but also with a different medium. I have grown used to airbrushing and haven't dabbled in acrylics for a long time so this was really fun for a change."
She then went on to say, "People think that abstract art is easy, but having a blank canvas and trying to transfer the thoughts in your head onto it can be quite daunting. I am so proud to have won another competition with CAGO and am pleased to say that I will also be featured in their 2017 Annual Anthology, which has a tentative June 2018 release date. This book carries with it the prestigious Cataloging in Publication number. Several copies of this book will be permanently included in the Library of Congress, located in Washington, DC and the Anthology is also listed on The National Library Registry."
Well done Sharen-Lee McLachlan from 2 Sisters AU !!!
